Right now it looks like gas prices have nowhere to go but up. Why not get something back on all that money it costs to fill the tank?
What to Look for In a Gas Rewards Credit Card
As with all credit cards, start with the basics: low or no annual fees, at least a 25 day grace period and a low interest rate are essential; if possible, you want to stay away from cards that use "two-cycle" billing and the "universal default clause", but you'll have to read the fine print to determine if any specific lender does (and it appears more and more do).
Of these cards, only two are strictly gas rewards cards, the Discover® Open Road Card and the Chase BP Visa® Rewards Card. They both offer 5% rebates on gas purchases, although with the BP card this only applies at BP stations.
The other cards are cash rewards cards that pay up to 5% for gas purchases.
The Discover Gas card offers a nice package for those who want a strictly gas rewards card. Otherwise Blue Cash® from American Express is a great general credit card with lots of incentives and rewards.
